BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Pam Pearce - President

Pam Pearce has been a resident of West Linn for 15 years.  She has three children in West Linn schools, including two at West Linn High School.  Currently in her 21st year of long term recovery, Pam is excited to apply her passion for helping others coping with Substance Abuse Disorder and recovery on the West Linn Community Task Force.  A long time community activist, Pam has served on Portland Rotary, the Brian Grant Foundation, and is currently on the steering committee for West Linn Young Life.  Professionally, Pam is a Community Organizer for the Portland Leadership Foundation.  Prior to PLF, Pam served as Executive Director of the Teen Division of the YMCA, providing much needed outreach for at-risk youth.  Prior to her work in the non-profit world, Pam spent 10 years in the commercial real estate field.  Two of her children are involved with the Teen Advisory Board at West Linn High School.

Anne Marie Lowe - Treasurer

Anne Marie is a 7 year resident of West Linn and the mother of three.  Two of her children have attended West Linn Schools since 2009.  As an community volunteer, Anne Marie has served on multiple boards including Salvation Army, Raphael House of Portland, and the Rotary Club of Portland.  She has 20+ years of financial services experience and currently serves as Director of Advancement for Portland Youth for Christ.

Brian Montgomery

Brian Montgomery and his wife Dana, along with their three children have been residents of West Linn for over 17 years. All three kids attended Sunset Primary and Rosemont Ridge Middle School. Currently they have a sophomore at West Linn High School as well as a freshman and sophomore at Oregon State University.  His high schooler is involved with the Teen Advisory Board.

Brian has volunteered as a youth sports coach in West Linn for over a decade. He also has a background in law enforcement that dates back to the early 90’s. His career includes several years with the Multnomah County Juvenile Justice Department; over a decade of service as a Parole and Probation Officer and most recently served the City of Gresham as a Police Officer. His assignments included gang supervision and enforcement, supervising domestic violence offenders and narcotics investigations. Brian is currently employed at Benchmade Knife Company in Oregon City where he oversees all Federal Law Enforcement sales for the company.

Dana Free & Olie Jolstad

Dana is a long-time West Linn resident with two sons and a nephew at West Linn High School.  She has been involved with her community and with local schools for the past 13 years. Dana’s career is in sales and marketing with an emphasis on new business development.

Nicole Mitchell

Nicole Mitchell is a ten-year resident of West Linn who grew up in the area. She has a daughter who graduated from WLHS in 2015 and an eighth grader who will enter next fall. She has volunteered in the school district for many years. Nicole is a Special Education Instructional assistant for West Linn Wilsonville School District.

Sally Davey - Secretary

Sally and her husband Steve have three daughters currently attending Sunset Primary, Rosemont Middle School and WLHS. Since moving to West Linn six years ago she has been active in the schools and local community. As a recovering alcoholic Sally is grateful for the opportunity to help others who are affected by this disease, and also to increase awareness and get beyond the social stigma of addiction.  Her olderst child is involved with the Teen Advisory Board at the high school.

Steve and Stacey Burch

Steve and Stacey are native Texans who moved to Oregon eleven years ago to begin a new chapter in their lives. Their three children, Dylan (15), Cameron (11), and Sydney (8), are all students in West Linn. Steve is a Certified Financial Planner with UBS and Stacey is thankful to be in a position to stay at home to wrangle the children and their crazy schedules. They are active in the community, having served on PTO boards, as facilitators for Financial Peace classes, volunteer regularly in various positions, and have been known to show up at a city council meeting or two. They are honored to be a part of the West Linn Community Task Force. Like so many others, their lives have been touched by addiction and they look forward to working with other members of the community to bring about awareness and positive change in this arena.

Garrett Meisen

Tony and Alison Mann

Alison and Tony are passionate parents of two grown boys, and they've been West Linn community members since 2001. Alison, a hairstylist, and Tony, a K-12 superintendent in Clackamas county, believe in the power of a community to solve problems. They also believe there are solutions for young people experiencing addiction that will deliver on the promise of productive, substance-free lives. The foundation for keeping this kind of promise in Clackamas County hasn't yet been built. Tony and Alison want to be part of shaping that kind of future for young people and for our community.

Jerilyn Evans

Jeri is a third generation native of Portland and a West Linn resident for 10 years. Jeri has two daughters, one at University of Oregon and one at West Linn High School. Jeri is passionate about educating schools, the community and youth serving organizations about preventing and responding to Child Sexual Abuse. She is an authorized facilitator of the Darkness to Light Stewards of Children child sexual abuse prevention program. She also volunteers with The Children’s Center (Clackamas County), OAASIS, and is the Prevention Training Director and board member of Restore Hope. Jeri is grateful to bring language to the silent epidemic of child sexual abuse, and shed some light on the impact of early childhood trauma.

 

Dr. Sarah Tycast

Sarah Tycast had lived in West Linn for 5 years, returning to her PNW roots after many years away. She is a pediatrician with a special interest in adolescent medicine and prevention. She and her husband James have 2 boys at Sunset Primary, where she is involved with the PTSO. They keep busy with lots of sports, 2 cats, and an active (and large) Rhodesian Ridgeback named Addie.

ADVISORY BOARD

 

Julie Edwards(Co-Founder)

Julie is a long-time West Linn resident with a history of community volunteer work. She has two sons, one of whom is at West Linn High School and one of whom recently graduated. She founded the West Linn Community Task Force in response to a growing drug and alcohol abuse problem in the community. Julie has 22 years experience in the communications, public relations, advertising, marketing and fundrasing fields.

Dr. Andrew Mendenhal (Medical Expert)

Andrew is a co-founder, physician and pain management specialist at HealthWorks NW, a practice devoted to helping patients with drug and alcohol abuse problems. A recognized national expert in addiction medicine, Andrew is a graduate of Oregon Health & Sciences University. After a tenure as a family practice physician, Andrew received a board certification in addiction medicine.

Cathryn Viteri

Cathryn has been a resident of West Linn for 7 years. She has a BS in Education, and currently works as a teacher in the WLWV School District. All three of her children have attended West Linn High School, and two have been Senior Leaders for the Teen Advisory Board. She has a varied history of volunteerism in the community, from spending time in the classroom working directly with students to supporting educational organizations through technology and volunteer coordination. Cathryn is also extremely proud to be a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Clackamas County, providing a voice of advocacy for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

Doug Berggren

Doug is a 12-year resident of West Linn with strong ties to the community. He has three children.  Two in West Linn schools and one at the University of Oregon.  He is an active volunteer coach and local church member. Doug is a partner and vice president of trading at Pacific Crest Securities in Portland.  He has two children involved with the Teen Advisory Board and one was a Senior Leader.

 

Ellen McMillan (Treasurer)

Ellen is a 15-year resident of West Linn with one child who graduated from West Linn High School and another at the high school. She has over 25-years experience in corporate income tax. Currently employed as tax director at Cascade Corp. in Gresham, Ellen has worked for Tektronix Inc., NACCO Materials Handling Group and Arthur Andersen.

Amy Murphy

Amy has been in the West Linn community for 15 years.  She has three children in the West Linn School District.  Her oldest child is involved with the Teen Advisory Board at West Linn High School.
